Goals

Attire & Riding Safety

• Riders must wear long pants, riding breeches, or jeans.

• Riders must wear boots with a minimum 1/2 inch heel.

• Riders must provide their own properly fitted ASTM/SEI-approved riding helmet for mounted lessons. Riders under 18 must also wear a helmet when handling horses or entering paddocks.

• B. Fex Horsemanship & Equitation does not routinely provide riding helmets. In limited circumstances, a helmet may be available temporarily, but availability and proper fit are not guaranteed.

Rider Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, attending, or participating in any services offered by B. Fex Horsemanship & Equitation (“BFex”), including but not limited to riding lessons, clinics, rider fitness sessions, and online programs, clients agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions.

2. Registration & Payment Policy

• All lesson programs, sessions, and services must be booked in advance.

• E-transfers must be sent to brittany@bfexequestrian.ca.

• Payment is required to secure your spot in any program or lesson block.

• For multi-week sessions:

  • Fees may be divided into installments.

  • Payment is due on the 1st of each month, unless otherwise specified.

• Failure to make payment by the due date may result in:

  • Loss of your scheduled time slot

  • Suspension of services

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy​

• All payments are non-refundable.

• Lesson spots are reserved exclusively for the client and cannot be easily reassigned once a session has begun.

• No refunds or credits will be issued for:

  • Missed lessons

  • Late cancellations

  • No-shows

  • Withdrawal from a program after it has started

4. Program Commitment

• Clients enrolling in multi-week sessions are committing to the full duration of the program.

• Spots are limited and reserved in advance; therefore:

  • Mid-session withdrawals do not result in refunds or credits.

  • Clients may not transfer their spot to another individual without approval.

5. Arrival & Facility Policy​

• Clients must arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to their scheduled lesson time.

• Early arrival does not guarantee access to horses or facilities.

• Clients must:

  • Check in with their coach upon arrival

  • Wait in designated areas until instructed otherwise

6. Waivers & Safety Requirements

• All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to participation.

• No individual may:

  • Handle horses

  • Enter paddocks or barns

  • Participate in any activity

    
    

    without a signed waiver on file

7. Guests, Spectators & Additional Participants​

• Clients may not bring additional participants, friends, or guests to:

  • Handle horses

  • Participate in lessons

• Spectators may be permitted at the discretion of the coach, provided:

  • They remain in designated viewing areas

  • They do not interfere with operations or safety

• BFex reserves the right to:

  • Refuse access to any individual without prior approval

  • Require all guests to sign waivers, if applicable

8. Horse Handling & Safety Rules

• Horses may only be handled:

  • Under direct supervision of the coach

  • After receiving instruction

• Clients must follow all safety instructions at all times.

• Unsafe behaviour may result in:

  • Immediate removal from the lesson

  • Termination of services without refund

​

9. Coach Discretion & Right to Refuse Service

B. Fex Horsemanship & Equitation reserves the right to:

• Refuse or terminate services at any time if:

  • Safety is compromised

  • Policies are not followed

  • Behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disrespectful

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

10. Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances

• Lessons may be rescheduled or modified due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Horse welfare considerations

  • Facility limitations

• If BFex cancels a lesson:

  • A make-up session or credit may be offered

​

11. Rider Pilates & Virtual Services

• Virtual classes, online programs and in-person sessions:

  • Are non-refundable once access is granted

  • May include replay access for a limited time

• Clients are responsible for:

  • Ensuring a safe environment for participation

  • Modifying exercises as needed

​

12. Liability Acknowledgement

Participation in equestrian activities involves inherent risk.

​

By participating, clients acknowledge:

• Risk of injury or harm

• Responsibility for their own safety and actions

All participants must complete and sign a liability waiver prior to participation.

13. Media Release

• BFex may capture photos or videos for promotional purposes.

• Clients may opt out by providing written notice.

​

14. Agreement

By booking or participating in services, clients confirm that they:

• Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

• Agree to abide by all policies outlined above
